Millions of tapes and CDs have been sold to provide instruction on practicing subliminal learning and sleep learning but research showed that those actually did not work. Superlearning or music learning CDs were advertised to be effective in promoting advanced learning; however, research has concluded that music promotes relaxation and does not directly influence learning processes. In a world where pills are treated as instant solutions to aches, pains and illnesses, memory-enhancing dietary supplements are no magic pills. While few of such products have shown significant impact on memory, most have shown dangerous side effects.
