Schools are termed as educational institutions, though instruction given in school does not in itself constitute education. The process of training and developing knowledge, the mind, and character is education. Instruction is one of the tools for achieving it by giving structured knowledge. Instruction is necessary and it is easily available, but education is the goal to be reached and is gained by one’s own efforts. Instruction is given and education is achieved through continuous learning. The new patterns of education, however, aim at the development of the whole person of each and every child.

The government provides grants for better education, especially for the poor. A grant is generally a sum of money given by the government or some other organization to fund such things as education or research. Grants may be given for several groups such as women, men, children, etc. Men and women in the society should be given equal rights, such as the right to vote, the right to education, the right to equality, etc. In this century, education is an important thing through which that can be achieved. Acquiring knowledge through proper education and learning helps the development of society.

Schools have been the main foundation for developing such a balance in one’s life. Several educational programs and seminars have been conducted in several areas for the promotion of better education for children. Children are the future, so we must provide them with a good education. Everyone in the world should be treated as equal; no one is superior to anyone.

Government grants for school for eligible students always provide motivation to excel in studies. Primary education in our country is now affordable to all with schools set up throughout our country with free books, midday meal programs, etc. In the present competitive scenario, due to globalization, one needs to enhance knowledge further to excel. For that, apart from primary and higher secondary education, higher and professional education is essential. As the cost incurred to achieve that is high, it is still reserved for the elite group who can meet such expenses.

If the expense to be met for educating children is made available through educational grants, student power from rural and weaker sections of our country will to a certain extent be improved. As citizens we must help students who are interested in getting a higher education. Education grants are basically financial aid, which is made available to those who show a keen interest in studies. Knowledge is an important wealth and no one can take it away from us.
