Pre-School Learning Alliance

Kid I

The Pre-School Learning Alliance is an educational charity with a single purpose … to support early childhood education programs, services and facilities throughout England. Every year, the Pre-School Learning Alliance makes lasting and positive contributions towards the care, welfare, and education of over 800,000 children and their families.

Early childhood education provides the solid learning foundation children need to become successful students as they embark on their formal education journey.  Attending a pre-school facility helps children develop the skill sets that are required prior to attending kindergarten, as well as teaching them social skills while building self confidence. Pre-school education also helps children with a variety of developmental skills, including:

-          Communication skills, including listening and participation

-          Emotional, personal, and social development

-          Creative and physical development

-          A stepping-stone to mathematics and language skills

Unfortunately, many children do not participate in pre-school educational programs due to a lack of available and/or affordable accredited facilities and services. These children are at a disadvantage when school years begin because they do not possess the basic skills that will help them develop through active and educational play.

In order to ensure every child has a chance to experience early education, the Pre-School Learning Alliance provides childcare services, family programs, support, and training, as well as supporting over 1,600 early childhood centers that parents can afford and trust. Every Pre-School Learning Alliance facility member is managed by experienced and highly trained managers who lead a dedicated and qualified staff of educators. Each facility provides a broad range of stimulating and challenging play activities to encourage social interaction and learning for optimal child development. Facilitators focus on parental involvement and work closely with each and every parent to encourage home involvement in education and positive reinforcement to help children develop into confident, imaginative, and creative individuals.
